Beginner Fencing Camp

Youth ClassSUMMER 2016 – $300 per session
July 18-22 9am-12pm
Aug 1-5 9am-12pm
Aug 15-19 9am-12pm

Every summer, we run 5-days long day camps for beginner fencers. We provide a fun exposure to the sport of fencing in a safe setting. With a focus on fun fencing and games, every camper walks away from this class with a smile on their face. Our camps include general fitness, footwork, blade work, bouting, hand-eye coordination drills, and games. During the camp, kids are exposed to Olympic fencing videos, same fencing training drills used by our nationally and internationally competitive fencers, and varying forms of team building exercises.

Positive Coaching Alliance certified coaches Jay Choi and Chris Atwood have over 20 years of experience teaching every level of fencing from absolute beginners to current reigning World Champions. Their passion for introducing the sport to new kids makes this camp a great experience for everyone!

Light Saber Training Camp

SUMMER 2016 – $500 per session
July 11-15 9am-3pm
July 25-29 9am-3pm
Aug 8-12 9am-3pm

During summer, and several times throughout the year, we also host light saber training camps. We take elements from various martial arts, and provide instruction on light saber choreography in a safe, fun manner.

In addition to fight choreography, participants also learn advanced training on applied neuromechanics, making them better athletes as well as helping them make a better use of their bodies in daily lives. This is as close as you can get to learning to use the Force abilities without being a character in a movie or a video game!
